SUMMARY:Big Bike Film Night
DESCRIPTION:Lido Cinema \n\n\n\nThe Big Bike Film Night is riding into town on its mission- bringing the best cycling short films from around the world together for you. \n\n\n\nThis year’s treasure chest of films includes a delightful young Australian bikepackers learnings from completing a scenic trip to Hell; a visually commanding film set in postcard Tuscany following a 74-year old bicicletta rider whose spirit personifies cycling; a team who have spent five years formulating a dream…and only one way to get it- via packraft and mountain bike\, on a pursuit of a first descent on the gnarly lines of Dillon Cone in the rugged coastal Kaikoura ranges; two schools share insights into how they promote active transport within their school community; a tale of a rider with a searing thirst for adventure exploring interior Iceland; putting the ‘mountain’ into mountain biking – a Scottish highland rider’s eyes are opened to the healing power of the bicycle; an uplifting film that celebrates a humble volunteer whose community spirit is inspiring and so are the majestic winter views of the trail where he lives in rural heartland Central Otago; a moving movie that follows a family that chooses to live life to the fullest in the face of adversity; and rounding out the night\, find out what happens when you combine an ultra-distance 320 km gravel race and parenting together over a 24-hour period (which is tougher?); ALL in the mix! \n\n\n\nThese short films are a great reminder of why we love to ride our bikes with films that celebrate the fun\, adventure\, and inspiration that cycling enables\, whatever your ride is.

SUMMARY:Big Bike Film Night - Encore
DESCRIPTION:Lido Cinema \n\n\n\nBack by popular demand\, the Big Bike Film Night is riding into town on its mission- bringing the best cycling short films from around the world together for you.

SUMMARY:Cargo Bike Picnic - December '23
DESCRIPTION:Inspired by other NZ cargo bike events\, we thought it would be fun to gather people in The Tron who may be interested in cargo bikes! \n\n\n\nOur committee member Simon often gets questions and comments about his front-loading cargo bike when it’s out and about. It’s a unique vehicle\, a great option for families and those seeking to reduce car trips! \n\n\n\nThere is a small but growing cargo bike family in Hamilton\, too! We would love to invite you and your families to get to know each other over some kai. \n\n\n\nWe would love to meet those who are “cargo curious” or simply want to network with other cycling commuting riders. Ask about the bikes and potentially take a ride around the park  \n\n\n\nSo bring along your bikes\, trailers and the like and show us how you’re hauling! Other things to consider bringing: \n\n\n\n\nHats\,\n\n\n\nWater\,\n\n\n\nPicnic Blanket\,\n\n\n\nFood\, and\,\n\n\n\nSunblock\n\n\n\n\nSo come along to the Claudelands Park on Sunday\, December 10th at 1pm. The kids can play on the new playground and hopefully we will all have a ball! \n\n\n\nLooking forward to seeing you there!
