Annual General Meeting 2024 Materials

It is that time of year again! Bike Waikato is hosting our Annual General Meeting 2024 on 29 September at Hamilton City Centre Library.

At our Annual General Meeting, you can hear about our progress over the past year, our financial position, and join our Executive Committee for the next year.

We are also adopting a new Constitution! As a result of the new Incorporated Societies Act 2022 (read more about the changes here), we are required to adopt an updated constitution and reregister as an Incorporated Society. Our new draft Constitution is a modernised version of our existing Constitution, with little changes to the way that we operate but bring our society in line with legal requirements for record keeping and dispute resolution.

Our meeting is open to anyone, but only paying members have the right to vote and join the committee.

Being on the committee is a great way to have an active role in decisions and projects where Bike Waikato has influence. You can nominate yourself, or another person, for the Bike Waikato Committee with their written consent, by emailing [email protected].

Our annual memberships start at just $10 per year and support the work of our committee and volunteers. As a member you get voting rights at Annual General Meetings and the opportunity to nominate yourself for a position on the Bike Waikato Committee.

Read on for a preview of the Chairperson’s Report, Treasurer’s Report, the Minutes of the 2023 Annual General Meeting, and the new draft Constitution. You can also find a copy here.
